Whats better? VLC media player or K-lite codec pack FULL? - k lite codec media extender

Basically, I want to play every single video file, you can use Windows Media Player. What is the best? To install VLC or K-Lite Codec Pack? Do I have of these slow my PC from? In the current Vista 32 bit

The difference between the two, that a package of codecs, you can simply view your files in a video player * you want, and VLC player is a special * that can play almost any video.

I myself use Gomplayer. I tried VLC player, but have not found, use one of the easiest players. Gomplayer is much simpler.
You might think differently, and therefore both the compounds, so that you can make your own decision.
