I'm trying to build a computer with a dual-core processor. I would like to know if working with an AMD Opteron processor and a dual-core desktop. The specifications seem comparable to the low-end Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz clock speed and 2 MB of L2 cache. Is it the same as a desktop processor?
